Humble Beginnings
'I Can Write Too!' first started out as a blog. The purpose of the blog was to create a platform for parents or children to submit their composition / writing for free feedback. The submitted work, the suggested improvement and feedback was then posted back on the blog for sharing and learning purposes. At the same time, the blog also aimed to provide a pool of free and relevant resources for parents who would like to help their child improve in the area of writing compositions. However, as a blog presented posts in a chronological order, it was challenging for me to present the resources in a more organised manner. Thus, after scrutinizing the web for various alternatives, I've decided to move my work to this free site Hopefully, the webpage will prove to be more user-friendly than the blog! |
NEW Beginnings
After moving to a new home, 'I Can Write Too!' will continue to build up FREE RESOURCES in the area of composition writing for children attending Singapore primary schools.
I will still be accepting compositions for feedback / comments and sharing. However, the focus will shift from this area to building up reference materials and resources which are current and relevant to the children.
As for my humble blog, I intend to keep it running. After all, some of us may be used to content there and there are some resources which I may have trouble moving over.
I will also probably use it to post about latest updates ( since I am not sure how to do so here...)

About Me
I'd been teaching for almost 11 years but I stopped about 2 years back due to health-related problems and heavy family commitments. Until family matters reach a state of equilibrium, I am very much based at home. I've taught pupils of all abilities from the best to the weakest; Local and foreign pupils too! My last class was a P5 English Foundation Class. I had to be really creative to get them interested! : ) I dare not say I am very experienced. There are so many incredible teachers whom I look up to and respect so much. I am just more fortunate to have had taught classes with such varied abilities. So, I have my own insight on how my students can score well for writing. |
Why Are You Doing This? Is This Really FREE?
Extremely good question. I've been asking myself this question continuously from blog to webpage. I should be enjoying my early retirement at such a 'young' age. But... I seriously love teaching. It is a calling and I want to continue until the day I SIMPLY cannot do so. Close colleagues and many pupils whom I've taught will know well that I love my job without a doubt. There were times whereby I could not perform as well as I had wanted to too. I am not claiming to be a great teacher but I tried my very best within my personal limits. So, it's all FREE! No subscription fees. No tuition fees. No hidden links. No hidden costs. ONLY Ads / Google Ads. (no sneaky, hidden links...I do not like them too!) If you like what I am doing here for the children studying in Singapore, spread the news. I'd appreciate it tremendously. Thank you. |
